"We have reviewed some of these programs and found them ideal for the situations described by Michael D. Lawrence. We have no hesitation in recommending them to our clients. Mike is a good bloke, has restored my faith in Safety Consultants and will go out of his way to adapt the material to suit any special needs."

“Mike has shared his safety expertise on a number of webinar topics. It is a continued privilege to work with Mike as he provides real-world solutions to safety issues, from working and developing safety in employees and in the corporate culture to developing and training managers in their responsiblities. I recommend Mike for presentations where someone is looking for a person who communicates well and is expert in the topic. Though I have not had the privilege of working 'on-site' with him, I am comfortable suggesting he would be a good contact for on-site assistance, as well.”

“I worked with Mike for nearly 5 years while he served in his role at Safety Manager at DNS. The entire time, Mike was very organized and responsive to the needs of the service department. He produced thorough and accurate investigations of all safety incidents. He was a champion of providing service and support in a safe manner. In addition, Mike was very adept at drawing together a team of individuals throughout the company to enhance the safety program. Mike was always a forward thinker, never satisfied with the status quo, and constantly worked to improve safety and awareness in the organization.”
Jim Corder, Regional Service Manager, DNS Electronics. March 17, 2009.
“I worked for Mike for 3 years when he was the Technical Training Manager at DNS. During this time, Mike demonstrated the ability to run a department of 7 people, while managing, organizing and scheduling training for a world-wide customer base. As a manager, Mike would look for ideas from the group before making any final decisions to ensure that everyone had "buy in" prior to implementing major change. Mike's desire to know and understand his employees aided me in my development as both a trainer and curriculum developer. Managing and scheduling instructors for a training program with students from around the globe is not easy, but Mike conducted this business efficiently and effectively, ensuring customer needs were met, as well as making sure his employees had the assets required to accomplish their tasks and jobs.”
Harry Owens, Technical Trainer, DNS Electronics. March 20, 2009.
“Mike reported to me for 6+ years as Environmental Health and Safety Manager at DNS Electronics. Mike delivered an outstanding, comprehensive safety program which was extremely effective, resulting in low OSHA recordable rates, and no injury incidents in the company during his last eight months. This is quite an accomplishment for a company with 300+ employees, most of whom work in an environment with numerous dangerous chemicals, high voltage electricity and other hazards. Mike was largely self-trained in the safety role, becoming the company's only safety expert through diligent study. Mike showed an outstanding service attitude, always going the extra mile to support both external and internal customers. His response to requests was usually immediate. His work output was consistently of high quality, and often quite creative. He never hesitated to take on additional duties, and often volunteered new ideas for how he could help the company succeed. As a result, Mike picked up a diverse range of duties including website management, document control and J-SOX (Japanese Sarbanes Oxley) implementation. Mike's continuous search for knowledge, in combination with his openness to feedback, led to continuous improvement of the EHS program, and of Mike's capabilities. Mike is a strong leader who built support for safety throughout the company and developed a network of other managers and employees who willingly commit their time and energy to create and sustain a safe, healthy environment and culture. I have rarely, if ever, worked with anyone as enthusiastic or as open to feedback and ideas as Mike. He is an outstanding professional and colleague. If I had the opportunity to hire Mike again, I would do so without hesitation.”
Alan Bickett, HR Director, DNS Electronics. April 2, 2009
“As the Safety Program Manager for DNS, Mike created the standard for our CBT training procedures. Mike started with a blank page and produced a comprehensive program for every group at DNS. In my dealings with him, I found Mike to be a dedicated professional, an effective communicator and talented trainer. His ability to educate across all types of experience levels make him an asset to any employer.”
John Gero, Project Coordinator, DNS Electronics. April 3, 2009
“I have known Mike since I started at DNS over 11 years ago. As DNS's training manager he not only developed classes but was also an instructor. He would conduct classes for new hires when asked to do so. These classes were very helpful for someone new to our industry as he explained every facet of what our tools did. After relocating to Southern California, Mike transferred to the Human Resources department as out Project, Safety and Technical Communications Manager. During that time Mike developed many different safety and company web sites with helpful tips and instructions on workplace safety. He created our first Safety Committee and did an excellent job of developing the team members and leading our safety programs. As a member of the team I saw first hand the transformations to a new standard of safety evolve under Mike's leadership. If anyone had a question Mike was there to answer it. As members of the HR team Mike and I would have occasion to work closely on different projects. He always gave 200% of his time and knowledge. If Mike didn’t know something he would set out to find out everything he could about the subject or issue. I also knew that if I ever needed Mike he was there. I can not give anyone a higher recommendation that I can to Mike. Should the opportunity ever arise I would work with Mike again. He can work as an individual or in a team environment. Mike is also a web guru with amazing knowledge. He would be a major asset to any company the hired him for a project or regular employee.”
